Big Bear showed up in Amarillo looking to set the outdoor world on fire.  We started with a little fishing over at Haley Lakes in Oklahoma.  Tim and John joined us for a bit, drank a beer and enjoyed the day.  Too much fun, plenty of bass and crappie caught.

We then moved onto a quick mountain bike run to the Lighthouse in Palo Duro Canyon.  Quick trip due to Big Bear having no rear brakes.  Could have been worse but we made short work of the trail.  Dodging hikers, and horseback riders.

Finally, we headed to the country.  Had a great time sighting in Andy’s 7 mag.  Working on stands, feeders, checking out the local wildlife and had a hell of an evening shooting dove.  We could not have asked for better.  Birds were flying until dark and we had plenty of opportunity to limit.  We were both shooting at about 70% due to some injuries.  Joke, we were just not on.

Though you would think with Big Bear hauling out three shotguns to shoot with he would have hit more birds.  It was a great weekend and I look forward to the Big Bear coming back for round two.
