It goes without saying that at one time or another we have all been perturbed with our local police force.  Typically, as I am pulled over for speeding I usually say to myself “Don’t they have something more important going on than my measly 10 mph over the speed limit”.  I am sure they are walking up to the vehicle thinking “Can’t this SOB just go a little slower”.  None the less, if any of my neighbors were trying to force open their front door and I could not tell who they were I am sure I would have called the boys in blue to check it out.

I will say that when it comes to our commander-in-chief, I am positive he has better things to do than get his buddies out of a jam on national TV.  Don’t get me wrong, getting a little help from a higher up once in a while is great, but when the President of the United States of America reprimands a police force doing what they were asked to do by a worried citizen on National TV or at any time for that matter we have problems.  I would think the war in Afghanistan or maybe the fact that our economy is in the shitter would garner more attention than a prof. at a university busting in his front door and a cop verifying that he lives there.

Example:  I go for a bike ride in my neighborhood, leaving my phone at home on the charger.  I accidentally set off my alarm system by leaving through the wrong door.  I turn it off and think nothing of it.  When I get home there are two cops in front of my house, one Hispanic and one White.  The Hispanic cop asks me if I live there, I tell him I do, he asks for my ID and I hand it over.  Why?  Because I want to know that when something like this happens they don’t let some asshole who is planning on breaking in just do as he pleases.  It was probably profiling, he had something against mountain bikers, he must have been a Roadie.  Get it!
